A small room on the east side that does one thing seriously: hair that still looks like itself six weeks later.
The room
Nine chairs, no music you have to shout over, and nobody hovering with a tablet. We book one stylist to one head for the whole appointment — the person who starts your hair is the person who finishes it, and they have the time to do it properly.
We don't upsell at the basin. If the honest answer is that your hair needs a trim and eight weeks of leaving it alone, that is what you'll be told, and we'll happily take the smaller booking.
The work
The angle everyone else photographs from is the one you already check in the mirror. This is the one you don't.
Four millimetres is the difference between a haircut and your haircut.
The list
No packages, no membership, no consultation fee. Colour is quoted at the chair before anything is mixed, and the quote is what you pay.

The chairs
Three of the nine take new clients this season. Choose by temperament — they all cut well.
Chair one · colour
Twelve years behind a chair and a standing refusal to bleach anything that won't survive it. Ask her what your hair can actually do; she'll tell you before you've sat down.
Chair four · cut and shape
Cuts dry, cuts slow, and will spend ten minutes just looking at how your hair falls before touching it. Worth the ten minutes.
Chair nine · texture and curls
Curl specialist, trained in London and Lagos, and the reason half this room's clients drive across town. Books out four weeks ahead — plan accordingly.
The regulars
Book
Tuesday to Saturday, first wash at nine. If nothing suits, call — there is usually a cancellation on the day and we'd rather fill it than lose it.
Visitors pick a chair, a date and a time here, then leave their details.
Find us
There is no shopfront and that is deliberate. Look for the black door between the record shop and the laundromat; the bell works.
